We have ambitious plans to invest and build on the success enjoyed so far. A key component of which is the recruitment of a Sales Manager to spearhead the acquisition of new business and make the most of future opportunities. 

 

Primary objectives 

  • Perform the role of sales lead for taking CyXcel to Weightmans clients and play a central role in achieving annual sales targets   

  • Provide practical assistance to client facing fee earners to ensure key business development opportunities with client targets can be exploited 

  • Prospect and develop opportunities for new business, whether that be from new targets in existing sectors, new market sectors or from the existing Weightmans client base 

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Generating new business sales leads with both target and existing clients – working closely with the CyXcel management and New Business teams, along with Segment Heads, Sector Leads and Client Relationship Partners 

  • Meeting potential buyers of legal products and services in Weightmans’ offices, at their location, at events or selling via telephone and/or video 

  • Manage the sales pipeline for new and current and existing new business opportunities and monitor the effectiveness of all related sales activity 

  • Work closely with the New Business and Marketing teams to generate profitable new business revenue, capturing and documenting learnings from sales activities and initiatives to enhance future activities 

  • Work on behalf of the firm to develop links with external organisations who are potential introducers, referrers of clients 

  • Identifying growth opportunities within market sectors or geographical regions

About You

 

Key skills & experience 

  • Significant experience of selling in a business-to-business services environment, including exposure to, and market knowledge of, Digital, Data, Tech, Media and Privacy. 

  • Hands on experience of successfully selling cyber and data related services and solutions across a range of market sectors 

  • A proven track record of prospecting, developing new business allied to a history of closing deals 

  • Strong questioning and active listening skills to develop an understanding of the clients' needs 

  • Proven ability to quickly build rapport and trust 

  • Well honed negotiating skills combined with a highly commercial approach 

  • Well developed project and time management skills plus organisational skills 

  • Confident, assertive and resilient 

  • A self-starter, who can work on own initiative and is proactive in developing ideas and solutions 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
