Understanding the importance of careful estate planning to help provide for future generations, we offer lifetime and post-death planning to a diverse range of clients.

To assist and support the team of solicitors on their caseloads of private client work and deliver great client service.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Assist on solicitors’ caseloads of private client work, including high value/complex probate work, estate planning for high net worth individuals and contentious matters under supervision of experienced STEP members
• Run own small caseload of files under supervision of the solicitors in the team (dependant on experience)
• Assist other solicitors and case handlers in the team and wider department with their cases as may be required
• Travel to and attend upon clients if required
• Prepare and file various correspondence, notes and documentation
• Assist with internally marketing the services of the team and wider department
• Achieve set financial and chargeable targets\KPIs
• Ensure relevant deadlines and quality measures are adhered to
• Comply with relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures
• Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values

Ideally you will have previous experience as a Paralegal and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks and working with a variety of solicitors and partners in the team.
