About your new role

PLEASE NOTE: This role is not on the list of occupations eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route

Our HR&D team is made up several teams that work together to support Weightmans' people issues and processes, including business support; employee relations; learning & development; payroll & benefits; and recruitment.

We are recruiting for a HR Coordinator to join our team in Liverpool.

Whilst this is advertised as a full-time role we can consider applicants on a part time basis of 4 days.

As a HR Coordinator you will provide administrative and project support to the HR Service team as well as:

  • Manage pay and contractual changes including pay and amendments to contracts of employment
  • Respond to and processing flexible working requests
  • Manage the maternity and paternity process ensuring records are up to date, calculate employees’ entitlement to maternity pay/leave in accordance with the relevant legislation and Firm’s policy
  • Maintains current and accurate information within the HR System
  • Calculate holiday entitlement and update records accordingly
  • Record sickness absence and report to the relevant line manager
  • Undertake research projects, as requested Handling queries and confidential matters that come into the HR mailbox HR (which can be in person, by phone or e-mail) and respond in accordance with the SLA’
  •  Process leavers and recalculating final benefits and holidays
  • Working knowledge of GDPR rules and implications is required
  • Experience of using Cascade HR IT system would be advantageous but not essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages including excel is required

About You

Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a similar role and in a similar environment.
  
As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have the following : - 
  • Excellent communication skills
  •  Proficient in the use of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Familiar with (or able to develop proficiency in) HR systems in particular cascade
  • Clear understanding of HR processes
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a complex workload to ensure strict deadlines are met
  • Close attention to detail
  • Data Protection (GDPR) basis principles
