About your new role

Weightmans Intelligence Team provide expert desktop investigation and insight services to Weightmans teams and clients. The work of the team is really varied, and we provide investigative support to clients in relation to many different types of legal disputes and investigations.

In order to support our exciting plans for the future, we are seeking to recruit two experienced Intelligence Analysts. 

Key responsibilities

As an Intelligence Analyst your key duties and responsibilities will include:

    • Research and development of intelligence from various sources to assist in the proactive identification of fraud and KYO/E concerns.
    • Production of intelligence and analysis products using standard analytical techniques as defined by the National Intelligence Model to support specific cases, operations or projects across all teams within the business, demonstrating understanding and application of marketable value to clients.
    • Communication with client teams (within fraud and the wider business) to ensure the intelligence products meet with their requirements and develop on-going working relationships.
    • Client single point of contact and client management responsibilities.
    • Dissemination of clear and concise intelligence products, summarising complex intelligence analysis and contribute to thought leadership, to improve the firm’s strong position in the market place.
    • Utilise open and closed source data to support complex investigations.
    • Liaise with external agencies to progress industry fraud and KYO investigations on behalf of clients.
    • Multi-media Technical Analysis to include telephone, CCTV, telematics, ANPR, data analysis, etc. to deliver evidential and incident analysis bespoke products in support of criminal or civil cases.

    This list is not intended to be exhaustive, and you will be expected to perform other duties and have other responsibilities that fall within the wider remit of the role. You will also ensure that you comply with the relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures and consistently work in accordance with our values.

About You

As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. We also require you to have:
 
  • Previous Intelligence Analyst experience in a law enforcement, intelligence agency or intelligence team environment is essential for the role.
  • Recognised ANACAPA, NIAT, Intelligencia or recognised intelligence analysis training qualification.
  • Highly developed technical skills and experience; use of charting and network tools, databases and visualisation tools or other DBMS, GIS/mapping software, Microsoft Office and Excel to at least intermediate level.
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and confident verbal and presentation skills.
  • Investigative mindset; demonstrating an enquiring mind and critical thinking skills.  
  • Proven problem solving and research skills and experience of delivering projects or pieces of work that improve processes and techniques.
  • Able to work to deadlines, prioritise own workload effectively under pressure and manage multiple workstreams.
  • Team oriented, sharing knowledge and working with colleagues across the Intelligence team.
  •  Commercial acumen.
