Casualty Solicitor

We are currently recruiting for a Solicitor with 1- 3 years PQE to work both independently on their own caseload and closely alongside senior case handlers.

You will be provided with the opportunity to work on a wide variety of cases including EL/PL and will have the opportunity to develop an additional specialisation in Occupational Stress matters. These cases are varied in theme, document heavy and factually complex. We are looking for someone with an eye for detail who is comfortable managing the high quantity of documents associated with each case. This is an excellent opportunity to build strong client relationships and really make your mark. Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Running a case load of fast and multi track litigated claims, dealing with both liability and quantum
•  Managing disclosure documents
• Assisting senior fee earners with various tasks including general case management, legal research, drafting of witness statements, reports to clients and preparation for court hearings
• Attending client meetings and court hearings to support fee earners
• Assisting with the instruction of Counsel and experts
• Responding promptly and accurately to correspondence and telephone enquiries from clients and other parties, with and without supervision
• Achieving set financial and chargeable targets
• Supporting the team’s business development activities
